I created this blog post, it went live and I never shared it. I guess that explains the metrics on this post. Ugh. No more late night blog post writing.
Anyway, here’s a blog post I put together in Nov 2017.
If you haven’t heard of the marketing and communications agency, 19IDEAS, you likely will sometime soon. With a 362% growth over the last three years, they are one of WNY’s fastest growing companies. Knowing half the staff as well as I do, this doesn’t surprise me at all.
I first met the owners, Katie Krawczyk and Dan Giganti five years ago when they won Crowley Webb’s 25 Hour Work Day with their new startup, You&Who tshirts. CW hired me to create portraits for the campaign. Katie, Dan and I remained friends. A few years later, we collaborated by way of barter to create portraits of their employees. In return, the 19IDEAS team created the branding for my Keepers Of The Craft:Cocktails Across America project and will be designing the book after the production stage has completed. We decided to make environmental portraits of each of the employees doing whatever it is they loved to do most, outside of work. Climbing, hiking, playing music, cooking, golfing, yoga, etc.. Whatever they wanted, I made a picture of it. From the time we started, ten employees were added to the roster, and completion took over a year and a half. It was a total blast! A couple of these employees pictured have moved on to other opportunities, but I included them in this post, because I love the images.
Here are some of my favorite images from the series.
